CLEANING PROGRAMS
WEEKEND CLEANING
The “Weekend Cleaning” program is used when the Xflow is reasonably dirty, and you wish to give it a thorough clean and store the membranes in citric for long term storage i.e.: – at the end of the week.
The program contains the following cleaning steps:
– Solo backflush
– Rinsing hot water
– Cleaning caustic
– Solo backflush
– Rinsing cold water
– Neutralization with a cold, acid cleaning agent
CHEMICAL CLEANING
The “Chemical Cleaning” program is used when the Xflow is reasonably dirty and you wish to give it a thorough clean, drain the system ready to continue filtering. The program contains the following cleaning steps.

– Solo backflush
– Rinsing hot water
– Cleaning caustic
– Solo backflush
– Rinsing cold water
– Neutralization with a cold, acid cleaning agent
– Rinsing cold water, then drain the system
QUICK CHEMICAL CLEANING
The “Quick Chemical Cleaning” program is used to remove any color, strong flavors or aroma i.e.: – switching from red to white or a Fraise to a Sauvignon Blanc. You can also use this program if the Xflow is not that dirty and you wish to put it in storage. It is a series of programs that contain the following cleaning steps:
– Solo backflush
– Cleaning caustic
– Solo backflush
– Neutralization with an acid cleaning agent.”If you wish to leave in storage stop the program after the second backflush” otherwise
– Rinsing cold water
THE STANDARD RINSE
The “Standard Rinse” is used after filtering a fairly clean white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc or Lindauer Brut
It is a series of programs that contain the following cleaning steps:
– Solo backflush
– Rinsing hot water
– Solo backflush
FITTINGS AND PUMP CLEAN STORAGE
After white wines “Rinse” with hot water. After dirty or red wines remove the pre filter and wash thoroughly with hot water as well as all fittings. Store all fittings in Sulphur citric solution. Leave the pre filter in its housing and fill with Sulphur citric solution as well as the outlet and pump. Cap off all exposed ends.
